This Hampshire Partnership NHS Trust project aimed to improve staff perception of patient safety, help service users to feel safe on the ward and improve medication safety.
As part of the project, the team aimed to improve staff perception of the organisation’s commitment to patient safety by 40% by visibly making patient safety a leadership priority.
They also aimed to improve communication around patient safety with patients and their carers. The project took place on an adult mental health unit and an older person’s mental health unit.
This section of the Health Foundation website summarises the interventions implemented and draws out learning from the project.
