These guidelines from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre in Ireland are aimed at professionals in all healthcare settings and outline recommendations for the prevention of catheter-associated urinary tract infection.

This document represents the expert opinion of the Strategy for Control of Antibiotic Resistance in Ireland following a literature review.
