Chapter ten of this guidance for the care of healthy women and babies during childbirth outlines recommendations for the monitoring of healthy patients intrapartum.

Key recommendations include not using CTG monitoring for women with low risk pregnancies, indications for when CTG monitoring (intermittent or continuous) should be used, information on CTG monitoring for patients and useful reference guidance on interpreting CTG tracings.  It also recommends using telemetry in conjunction with CTG monitoring.
