The Ipswich Touch Test - screening for neuropathy at home is a quick and easy test, designed to assess sensitiviy in patient's feel and can be done in their own home.

The test involves relatives and friends examining the feet of their diabetes patients using the Ipswich Touch test based on written instructions.

Evaluation showed that there was a high concordance (98 per cent) between the IpTT in the hands of the friends and relatives compared to when trained health professionals performed it.
