This document, Preventing Falls and Harm From Falls in Older People: Best Practice Guidelines for Australian Hospitals 2009, aims to reduce the number of falls and the harm caused by falls experienced by older people in hospital care.

Although developed for Australia the guidelines would be useful background material for any organisation aiming to improve management of falls. The document continues three separate falls prevention guidelinesthat address the three main care settings: the community, hospitals and residential aged care facilities.
