The Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) was established to improve social care services for adults and children in the United Kingdom. This report discusses nutrition and hydration from the perspective of social care with the emphasis on simple practice points which could be implemented to improve the nutrition of the frail elderly population.
The Mencap “Death by Indifference” campaign summarises the initial “Death by Indifference” Report which tells the stories of six deaths of people with learning disabilities, the subsequent Inquiry “Healthcare for All” and the “Confidential Inquiry into Premature Deaths of People with Learning Disabilities”.
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has developed a number of surveys to help healthcare professionals assess patient safety. Although primarily developed for a US audience AHRQ is actively looking for feedback from international users.
